  • Survived the horrors of the Holocaust, afterwards spending two years in a displaced persons camp in Germany. 
  • In 1947 Brocha immigrated to America and settled in Chicago where she became involved very involved in a number of causes including the promotion of civil rights and the struggle to free Soviet Jewry.
  • Brocha worked as a librarian, retiring a few years before her death.
